Deborah J. Breland, DVM
Dr. Breland is originally from Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelors degree in Animal & Dairy Science. After working for the GA Department of Agriculture for one year, she attended the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her DVM degree in 2004. Dr. Breland joined the SAC staff right out of vet school and except for a short stint away has enjoyed caring for the variety of animals that pass through the clinic on a daily basis. She is a member of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, the Greater Columbia Association of Veterinarians, as well as the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Mark J. Foy DVM, MS
Dr. Foy is a Columbia and Irmo native. He attended the University of South Carolina where he studied Biology and received his Masters in Marine Biology. He then continued on to the University of Georgia where he received his DVM in 1992. He has been with the SAC team since.  He enjoys collecting old toys and comics, and he also plays in a rock band. He is a member of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, the Greater Columbia Association of Veterinarians, the American Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the Association of Reptiles and Amphibian Vets.

 

Ellen Huse DVM

Dr Huse received her DVM degree from Purdue University in Indiana and has been with SAC over five years.  She too is a member of the AVMA, SCAV and the GCAV.

 

Anna Ogburn DVM

Dr Ogburn received her DVM from U of Georgia and after four years at the Birmingham Zoo, she returned to her home of Columbia.  She has been with SAC over two years and is also a member of the AVMA, SCAV and GCAV.

 

Patrick Greg Brown DVM

A Washington DC native, Dr Brown obtained his DVM from the U of Georgia in 1978 and spent two years in the US Army stationed with the Marines at Quantico, Virginia as base veterinarian.  After a short stint at the U of Florida in wildlife parasitology he relocated to Columbia in 1980 to run the Five Points Animal Clinic and built Sunset Animal Clinic, opening in October of 1983.  He is a member of the AVMA, SCAV and GCAV and is also in the American Association of Avian Vets and the Humane Veterinary Association.
